London-based duo Fräulein have dropped the studio version of a live favourite, ‘And I Go (La La La)’. It’s a grungy tune that switches in an instant from stripped-back melodies to explosive thick textures that impressively come from just guitar and drums. “Usually, I write songs that revolve around the lyrics, but this started as a set of chords and a melody that I really liked,” vocalist and guitarist Joni says. “We developed it in rehearsal and during live shows. For months it had no lyrics, and I would sing the melody as “la-la-la”, so we kept the first half of the chorus as a nod to that.” Their debut EP, A Small Taste, drops on May 27th, 2022. -Dan Peeke
